Winstones Ice Cream
Existing freezer room refurbishment followed by additional installation of a new freezer room and refrigeration systems.
Situated on Rodborough Common, overlooking the beautiful Stroud Valleys in Gloucestershire, Winstones ice cream is one of the longest running and most highly awarded ice cream parlours in the country. Using the finest local ingredients to make delicious ice cream, Winstones share our passion for providing quality and service and we were delighted to work with such a prestigious local business.
Requirement
To refurbish an existing freezer room and install new refrigeration, suitable for the storage of their well-renowned ice cream.
Solution
We supplied and installed new ceiling panels and galvanised steel flooring, plus the design and install of 2 new refrigeration systems to offer peace of mind with a back-up system.
Specification
The ‘refurb’ freezer room was 3.00m x 8.50m x 2.30m high.
Refrigeration
We installed 2 new Danfoss/Searle low noise remote refrigeration systems with an 8m pipe run, temperature -25 degrees.
Winstones were delighted with their refurbished freezer room and later contacted us to discuss further improvements to their existing cold storage.
Requirement
To replace an older, existing freezer room with a new freezer room and refrigeration to provide reliable cold storage for their ice cream, to include a ‘back up’ system.
Solution
We de-commissioned, dismantled, removed and disposed of the existing freezer room, and supplied and installed a new freezer room and refrigeration systems, each freezer system capable of holding -25 degrees independently should the other unit fail.
Specification
The new freezer room installed was 4.00m x 7.00m x 2.50m high.
Refrigeration
We installed 2 new Danfoss/Searle low noise remote refrigeration systems with a 15m pipe run, temperature -25 degrees.
Foston’s Ash
Used chiller room installation
Foston’s Ash, a family-friendly country pub in the heart of the Cotswolds, Gloucestershire, has an excellent reputation for its food and hospitality. As a member of the Cotswold Food Club, 4 beautiful venues in the Stroud Valleys, it offers high quality, locally sourced food. The owners of the Cotswold Food Club contacted us to supply and install a pre-loved (second-hand) chiller room for the Foston’s Ash pub and we were delighted to assist such a popular local venue.
Requirement
To provide external cold storage for fruit and veg for their busy pub and restaurant suitable for location beneath a canopy.
Solution
We supplied and installed a second-hand chiller room and refrigeration system, positioned outside the pub beneath a weatherproof canopy.
Specification
The used chiller room installed was 2.40m x 1.80m x 2.20m high.
Refrigeration
We installed a new Rivacold integral chiller unit, temperature +2 to +6 degrees.
Accessories
We also supplied and fitted a selection of used cold storage racking to suit the room size.
The Cotswold Food Club team were very pleased with the cold storage solution and later contacted us to complete further work at their other venues. We designed, supplied and installed a new chiller room and refrigeration system for The Old Fleece, a charming former coaching inn located between Stroud and Nailsworth. We also supplied and fit polar grade strip curtains for the freezer room at The Old Lodge venue, located on Minchinhampton Common.
Med Supplies Ltd
New chiller room installation
Based in Talgarth, Wales, Med Supplies Ltd. is a pharmaceutical wholesale company that prides itself on delivering bespoke services and specialized medication for serious and life-threatening diseases.
We were contacted by our new client to provide a cold room solution to store medical supplies on their premises near Brecon and were happy to assist such a professional team.
Requirement
To provide a cold storage solution in their new warehouse suitable for the storage of pharmaceutical products.
Solution
We designed, supplied and installed a new chiller room and refrigeration system.
Specification
The new chiller room installed was 1.97mm x 2.97m x 2.20m high.
Refrigeration
We installed a new Rivacold integral chiller unit, temperature +4 - +7 degrees.
Accessories
We also supplied and fitted L-shaped, 4 tier, 400mm aluminium racking, complete with removable dishwasher safe shelves, to suit the room size.
The Lost and Grounded Brewery
Graded floorless chiller room installation
The wonderful team at the Lost and Grounded Brewery in Central Bristol, employ natural brewing methods used by traditional German brewers to produce smooth, rounded and delicate beers. They approached us to install a floorless chiller room into their warehouse to store hops.
Requirement
To provide a floorless chiller room using graded panels that would enable them to easily move kegs and fit their strict budget requirements.
Solution
We designed, supplied and installed a floorless chiller room into their new warehouse using graded panels and new refrigeration. We used a wide door to enable easy access of kegs.
Specification
The graded chiller room installed was 2570mm x 2570mm x 2000mm high.
Refrigeration
We installed a new Rivacold integral wall mounted unit, temperature +4 degrees.
The Lost and Grounded team were delighted with the graded cold room, which met their budget requirements and they later contacted us to supply second-hand racking to suit the room.
Freedog Urban Activity Centre
New chiller room installation
Freedog Urban Activity Centre in Totterdown, Bristol is much more than a trampoline park and we were delighted to assist this amazing venue with the installation of a new chiller room for their authentic Italian style pizza restaurant. They serve up delicious hand-made pizzas from their first floor restaurant that has views across the main arena.
Requirement
To install a new chiller room on the first floor for the storage of fresh pizza ingredients.
Solution
We installed a new floorless chiller room with an integral refrigeration unit.
Specification
The new chiller room was 2.97m x 1.77m x 2.03m high.
Refrigeration
We installed a new Zanotti integral wall mounted unit, temperature 0 - +4 degrees.
Accessories
We also installed U-shaped, 3 tier, 400mm aluminium racking complete with removable dishwasher safe shelves.
